And your sons and daughters will prophesy,

Your old men will dream dreams,

Your young men will see visions.

- Joel 3:28

I recently had the pleasure of meeting with some UCLA students who recounted for me just a few of the wonderful things that God is doing on that campus. Indeed, it would appear that revival is just around the corner. And already they are speaking of a student volunteer movement that would carry the gospel message unto the uttermost parts of the earth.

During our time together, these students also shared some dreams that some of them had received of late, and that afforded me the opportunity to share with them visions that the Lord had given to me. It was as if we were living out Joel's words as we excitedly shared with one another those things that the Lord had revealed.

Though the messages were different, the subject matter of the dreams seemed to coincide with the images of the visions. I won't elaborate or offer interpretation. Instead, I will simply set forth the basic message of what would appear to be three distinct phases.

Darkness Shattered: The landscape is barren. The soil is blackened. The sky is dark. There is little if any light. Suddenly there is an explosion that sends a shock wave through the city. There is light above. The darkened soil becomes shattered and fragmented. Somehow the very fragments themselves are reflecting the light from above.

The Fountainhead: A stream is coming forth from a small spring, but the water is foul and full of vile things. Suddenly the fountainhead of the spring erupts with a gush and water pours forth in abundance. The water is crystal clear . . . beautiful and alive. The stream becomes a river flowing out of the city.

I should also add that during this phase, shepherds and healers begin to unify, joining together in the spiritual battle. However, strife does arise. Certain members of the flock more readily accept the Spirit's movement than others, and this would appear to result in dissension or division.

Blinding Light: Light bursts upon the city; light so brilliant that one finds it difficult to see. A lone figure stands forth in the midst of the light. The entire city is bathed in that brilliant light. Everything is exposed.

Please pray about these visions and the accompanying dreams. May the Lord grant His children discernment and wisdom.

And would you also remember to keep our Westside pastors in prayer on May 8th and 9th as they meet to pray for one another and to pray over our City.

Yours because the tomb is empty,
