Pray for L.A. 5K Trail Run/Fitness Walk

Join us again for our second year of hosting the Pray for L.A. 5K Trail Run and Fitness Walk sponsored by Life Connections International and our event partners. Open to all, the 2008 Pray for L.A. 5K is part of a larger celebration to encourage community outreach and raise awareness of the power of prayer through partnerships among local churches, clubs, ministries, volunteer organizations and other groups.
Whether you're a competitive athlete, a recreational enthusiast, or just looking for a chance to relax, this event is for you and your entire family!
REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICK-UP
Pre-register by clicking on the button below, or register at the Race Start on Race Day. Race day registration and packet pick-up will open at 7:00 a.m. and close 15 minutes before the start of the race.
RACE FEES
Adult: $35 Youth: $15 (Ages 12 and under)
T-SHIRTS / AWARDS & CATEGORIES
Every participant receives a high quality cotton T-Shirt. Food and refreshments for all participants is included. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group.

RACE EXPO AND ACTIVITIES
Come to the Magnolia Grove at the race finish on Circus Hill and enjoy fellowship, live music and displays by our partners. The expo area will be open from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Food will be available for purchase by non-race participants.
COURSE MAP
The course is a rolling combination of both moderate inclines and flat trail. The race starts in the parking lot of the Hansen Dam Aquatic Center and finishes in the Magnolia Grove on Circus Hill across from the aquatic center. Water is available on the course. Click here to view the Course Map.
TIMING AND RACE SCORING
Timing, registration services and race scoring will be provided by WB Productions. Complete results will be available NLT Monday, May 5 at www.y-events.com.
DIRECTIONS & PARKING
The race and all related activities take place at the Hansen Dam Recreation Area, 11770 Foothill Blvd, Lake View Terrace, CA 91342. Parking is free!
VOLUNTEER
Not a runner, but want to be an integral part of this event? What better way to enjoy the experience of the race while building up others as a volunteer!
We need your help! Volunteer tasks include: Handing out race packets, keeping runners on course, cheering participants on and keeping spirits up, and providing water and food. In exchange you'll get a volunteer T-Shirt, refreshments, and the satisfaction of knowing you helped to play a critical role in making this event possible.
